NAMED ONE OF “FIVE BEST KEPT SECRET
GOLF COURSES IN AMERICA” BY GOLF DIGEST. |

The Dunes at Maui Lani Golf Course was named in
Golf Digest’s special “Secrets Issue”
as one of the “Five Best Kept Secret Golf
Courses in America.” The Top 5 list appeared
four pages into the issue’s feature story
titled: “Did You Know…” The article’s
sub-head read, “Confidential. Eyes Only. Let’s
keep it on the down low. Understood?” The
#1 golf magazine in the world has cited The Dunes
at Maui Lani before, nominating it for its “Best
New Courses in America” list when the course
opened in 1999. Last year, GOLFWEEK ranked The
Dunes among the “Top 10 Courses in Hawaii.”
Only two on Maui made the grade: Kapalua’s
Plantation course, and The Dunes.
The Dunes at Maui Lani Golf Course is an 18-hole
championship golf course located in Central Maui.
The course is situated on million year-old alluvial
sand dunes and was designed by Robin Nelson, one
of leading golf course architects of this era.
The Dunes at Maui Lani has been ranked, nominated,
and/or named in the top rankings of such prestigious
golf publications as: Golf Digest, GOLF Magazine,
and GOLFWEEK. Articles of praise have appeared
in Travel & Leisure Golf, LINKS, Senior Golfer,
FORE, and many other national, regional, and local
publications.
