The
hole is not long and the play strategy is obvious
from the tee.
The two very deep greenside bunkers hide the
entire right front, making the approach from the
left a must. The ideal tee shot is as close to
the four-foot deep and vertical-walled pot bunker
on the left, or to carry it to set up an easy
pitch into the offset green.
Any wind at all will increase the difficulty
from a right side approach. The tendency will
be to play the hole straight to shorten the hole
as much as possible, but those choosing this route
will soon understand that fatal flaw.
